Political Campaign Yard Signs in Houston

Campaign signs keep a race visible between mailers and ad buys. If you are running for School Board, City Council, or state office, or organizing a Political Action Committee, political campaign yard signs put your name in front of Houston voters on the streets they drive every day. Houston Sign Company prints campaign yard signs — also called political lawn signs — on corrugated plastic, and most orders can be printed for next-day delivery. You can order campaign signs online or contact us for a bulk quote.

Political Yard Sign Sizes, Quantities and Stake Options

Ordering campaign signs runs through one form on our Houston store. These are the choices it asks you to make.

Size. Nine corrugated plastic sizes are priced online:

  • 24″ x 18″ — the standard Houston yard sign, readable from a passing car
  • 12″ x 9″, 12″ x 12″, 18″ x 12″ — small formats
  • 24″ x 6″ — a rider strip to sit above an existing sign
  • 24″ x 16″, 24″ x 24″, 36″ x 24″ — larger lawn sizes for corner lots
  • 48″ x 48″ — high-visibility placements at intersections and rallies

Sizes beyond these, including 96″ x 48″, are quote-only.

Quantity. You type the number rather than pick a tier: a short run for one precinct, or several thousand for a citywide field program, with the per-sign price dropping as the quantity goes up. Need a quantity the online form does not offer? Call us at 713-662-3123.

Sides and stakes. Choose single-sided where a sign sits against a wall or fence, double-sided where traffic passes both ways. Wire stakes are an option on the form at an added cost, so you can leave them off if your field team already has stakes. Grommets are the alternative when you are zip-tying to a fence or railing instead of pushing into a lawn.

Election yard signs in Houston are a direct way to spread awareness of your candidacy. Corrugated plastic, or coroplast, is a cost-effective material for outdoor political yard signs that need to last several months in the weather. Campaign Car Decals and Magnets

Vehicle decals and magnets reach voters during long Houston commutes. At a light, on the highway, or parked in a busy lot, magnetic political car signs keep your candidate visible. These can be adhesive decals or magnets, depending on your preference.

Campaign Bumper Stickers

Election bumper stickers let supporters show their affiliation and spread the word for your candidate. Order them in bulk to hand out at events and canvassing drives.

Custom Car Toppers for Campaigns

Car toppers spread the word about your candidate during an upcoming election. They break the side profile of a vehicle and draw attention to the message. Because a topper sits high, it stays visible over surrounding traffic and offers close to 360-degree visibility.

Custom Political Signs FAQs

Where Do You Buy Political Yard Signs in Houston?

Close to an election, buying wholesale political signs gets harder: you want a consistent look across the campaign, and fitting a clear message onto a standard political sign size takes a practiced eye. You can order campaign yard signs online from our Houston store, or work with our team on a custom layout. The election yard sign makers at Houston Sign Company keep your signs legible from the curb, at competitive pricing.

What Are Custom Political Signs Made of?

Most political yard signs are corrugated plastic with wire stakes, the same build as standard yard signs in Houston. They hold their color for 3-6 months, about the length of a campaign season, so you are not paying for a material that outlasts the race. Longer-lasting stock is available on request, though most campaign signs are not reused.

How Much Do Election Signs Cost?

Pricing for custom political signs depends mostly on size and quantity. We offer volume discounts for large field programs and rush options when signs are needed quickly. Contact us for a tailored quote on your campaign signs and banners in Houston.

How Long Does It Take to Produce Custom Campaign Signs?

Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the order. Many orders are ready within a few days, and next-day printing is available when a deadline is close.

Can You Help With the Design of My Campaign Signs?

Yes. Our designers can build a custom layout from scratch or work from artwork you supply, so your message reads clearly from a passing car.

Are Your Campaign Signs Weather-Resistant?

Corrugated plastic stands up to Houston rain, wind, and sun, so your signs stay legible through the campaign season.

Texas Campaign Sign Rules for the November 2026 Election

Placement, not printing, is what gets a Houston campaign sign confiscated. The rules below are the ones candidates and block walkers ask about most in the weeks before November 3, 2026. Confirm current requirements with your own jurisdiction before the first stake goes in the ground.

When can campaign signs go up in Houston for the November 3, 2026 election?

August 5, 2026 is the earliest date, and signs come down by November 13. Texas Transportation Code Section 391.005 exempts an election sign from highway permitting only when it sits on private property, goes up no earlier than the 90th day before the election, comes down within 10 days after it, and uses lightweight material.

Where can you legally place a campaign sign in Houston?

On private property, with the owner’s permission. Texas Transportation Code Section 393.002 bars signs from the right-of-way of a public road, and that includes trees, utility poles and traffic signs. Inside city limits, Houston’s own ordinance applies on top of state law. Our political yard sign rules guide covers school and polling-place limits.

Can a campaign sign go in a median or esplanade?

No. Esplanades, medians and the strip between the sidewalk and the curb are all public right-of-way, and Section 393.002 bars signs there. Crews can pull a sign the same day without notice. Placement in violation is a Class C misdemeanor under Section 393.005, and TxDOT charges the removal cost back to the sign’s owner.

How big can a Texas campaign sign be?

Up to 50 square feet, and smaller than that in a deed-restricted yard. Transportation Code Section 391.005 sets the 50-square-foot ceiling and requires lightweight material. A Texas city cannot require a permit for a sign on private property below 36 square feet and 8 feet tall, under Texas Election Code Section 259.003.

Does a campaign sign have to say who paid for it?

Yes. The Texas Ethics Commission requires the words “political advertising,” or a recognizable abbreviation, plus the full name of whoever paid for the sign. Texas Election Code Section 259.001 adds the printed right-of-way notice. Our guide to the “paid for by” line gives the exact wording to set in the artwork.

Can an HOA stop a supporter putting your sign in their yard?

Not during the election window. Texas Property Code Section 202.009 bars a property owners’ association from enforcing a covenant against a political sign on the owner’s own property from the 90th day before the election through the 10th day after — August 5 to November 13, 2026. It may still require ground mounting and a four-by-six-foot maximum.

With the route mapped and the disclosure set, order campaign signs online in single- or double-sided coroplast, and add wire stakes at checkout.
